CELEBRATING EXCELLENCE IN THE LEGAL PROFESSION

The annual New Zealand Law Awards, now in its 18th year, is the leading independent awards event in the legal profession in New Zealand. Across an array of categories, the awards recognise the region’s leading law firms, in-house legal teams, individuals and dealmakers over the past year. It’s a true reflection of excellence in the legal profession.

After two years of virtual gatherings, the New Zealand Law Awards are back with a bang and ready to raise a glass to the legal sector’s best and brightest. Returning as an in-person black-tie gala, this is the perfect opportunity to honour your firm or team after an extraordinary period, showcase your achievements on a national stage and come together to celebrate in all the glitz and glamour that this sector deserves.

Be a part of this iconic industry event by nominating for our prestigious awards. We look forward to receiving your nominations from 23 May 2022 to 24 June 2022, and rolling out the red carpet for you on 10 November 2022, in Auckland.

The New Zealand Law Awards is presented by NZ Lawyer, New Zealand’s only independent legal online publication. Chosen by senior legal professionals for its unrivalled legal editorial expertise, it is widely read by managing partners, partners, lawyers, in-house counsel and business leaders across the country.

Ryan Bridge

Anchor Host of Discovery’s breakfast offering, AM on Three, seasoned journalist Ryan Bridge will charm you or disarm you – often both at the same time!

Kiwi news personality Ryan uses his satirical style to keep his audience informed and entertained, bringing a depth of news knowledge and warmth to weekday mornings, along with the full force of the Newshub newsroom.

In his 10 + years in the media, Ryan has worked for Radio New Zealand as a political reporter in the press gallery at Parliament, TV3’s Beijing correspondent and business newsreader on Morning Report.

He reported and presented for TV3’s 7 pm current affairs show, Story, as well as Newshub Live at 6pm, and was the host of RadioLIVE’s political and lifestyle show, Your Sunday.

He has covered major news events across the Asia-Pacific region; reported on climate change from Antarctica, human rights from Myanmar, trade from Russia’s Far East and spent two months on the ground in the aftermath of the 2011 Canterbury earthquakes.

As the eponymous host of radio's Magic Talk Drive for several years, Ryan tackled the big news stories of the day; talking to the newsmakers and the lawbreakers, which prepared him well as regular stand-in for The AM Show host Duncan Garner, eventually becoming the permanent anchor in 2021 of the new look AM on Three.
